2020.09.01 09:04 youngbull316If all generations were 18-19 years
Probably goes like this, based on how S&H and others grouped the generations: Lost: 1890-1908 (parents to members of GI's and Silents; children to Progressives and Missionaries) Older Lost: 1890-1895 (100% Lost, the "true" group, even though they are the older group numerically, based on S&H are grouped in the middle) Famous people: Dwight D. Eisenhower, Colonel Sanders, Babe Ruth, Marjory Stoneman Douglas, etc. Middle Lost: 1896-1902 (the numerical "core" of the Losts, but might have the first signs of any GI traits) Famous people: Paul Robeson, Amelia Earhart, Walt Disney, Louis Armstrong, Charles Lindberg, Emma Morano, Duke Ellington, Al Capone, etc. Younger Lost: 1903-1908 (still mostly Lost but have significant GI traits, to the point where at times might be the majority) Famous people: Lyndon B. Johnson, Dr. Seuss, Lou Gehrig, etc. GI's: 1909-1927 (parents to members of Silents and Baby Boomers, rarely Generation X; children to Missionaries and Losts) Older GI's: 1909-1914 (barely have any Lost traits remaining, almost fully GI) Famous people: Ronald Reagan, Richard Nixon, Rosa Parks, Jesse Owens, Gerald Ford, Joe DiMaggio, etc. Middle GI's: 1915-1921 (probably 100% GI and the absolute representation of the generation, still too early for any sign of Silent traits) Famous people: John F. Kennedy, Frank Sinatra, David Rockefeller, Roald Dahl, Ella Fitzgerald, Jackie Robinson, etc. Younger GI's: 1922-1927 (still very GI but have significant Silent traits) Famous people: Betty White, Stan Lee, Red Foxx, Charles Schulz, Mae Young, George H.W. Bush, Jimmy Carter, Malcolm X, Dick Van Dyke, Barbara Bush, Marilyn Monroe, Hugh Hefner, Queen Elizabeth II, Andy Griffith, Jerry Stiller, William Daniels, etc. Silents: 1928-1945 (parents to members of Baby Boomers and Generation X, rarely Millennials; children to Losts and GI's) Older Silents: 1928-1933 (older Silents, barely have GI traits, almost fully Silent) Famous people: Shirley Temple, Maya Angelou, Martin Luther King, Jr., Fred Rogers, Adam West, Joe Jackson, Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, Anne Frank, Clint Eastwood, Neil Armstrong, Regis Philbin, Johnny Cash, Gene Wilder, Joan Rivers, etc. Middle Silents: 1934-1939 (Basically 100% Silents, but the younger group possibly have very slight Boomer traits) Famous people: Bill Russel, Elvis Presley, Dalai Lama, Wilt Chamberlain, Bruno Sammartino, Bill Cosby, Jane Fonda, Jerry West, Pope Francis, John McCain, Morgan Freeman, George Carlin, Kenny Rogers, Ben E. King, Oscar Robertson, Marvin Gaye, John McArthur, Lee Harvey Oswald, etc. Younger Silents: 1940-1945 (Still Silents, especilally due to being born during the war, not after it, but have strong Boomer traits) Famous people: John Lennon, Bruce Lee, Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Norris, Al Pacino, John Lewis, Bernie Sanders, Bob Dylan, Jesse Jackson, Kim Jong-Il, Muhammad Ali, Joe Biden, Stephen Hawking, Paul McCartney, Aretha Franklin, Robert De Niro, Mick Jagger, Danny DeVito, Jerry Springer, Herman Cain, Vince McMahon, Bob Marley, etc. Baby Boomers: 1946-1964 (parents to members of Generation X and Millennials, rarely Generation Z/Homelanders; children to GI's and Silents) Older Baby Boomers: 1946-1951 (the proverbial "core" of Boomers and what most people think of when you're talking about "Baby Boomers" but nonetheless still have some Silent traits) Famous people: Donald Trump, Dolly Parton, Freddy Mercury, Sylvester Stallone, George W. Bush, Bill Clinton, Cher, David Bowie, Hilary Clinton, Arnold Schwarznegger, Elton John, Samuel L. Jackson, Prince Charles, Ozzy Osbourne, Meryl Streep, Billy Joel, Lionel Richie, Ric Flair, Dr. Phil, Bill Murray, Stevie Wonder, Robin Williams, Ben Carson, Phil Collins, Kurt Russell, etc. Middle Baby Boomers: 1952-1958 (the actual "core" of Boomers, in-between zone for Post-War Boomers born in the late 40's-early 50's and Generation Jones born in the late 50's-early 60's, 100% Baby Boomer) Famous people: Vladimir Putin, Patrick Swayze, David Hasselhoff, Hulk Hogan, Tim Allen, Cyndi Lauper, Oprah Winfrey, Jackie Chan, Denzel Washington, John Travolta, Roddy Piper, Walter Payton, Jerry Seinfeld, Howard Stern, Bill Gates, Kris Jenner, Steve Jobs, Bill Nye, Tom Hanks, Bryan Cranston, Bob Saget, Larry Bird, Mel Gibson, Caroline Kennedy, Bret Hart, Bernie Mac, Steve Harvey, Michael Jackson, Ellen DeGeneres, Alec Baldwin, Ice T, Madonna, Prince, Keenan Ivory Wayans, etc. Younger Baby Boomers: 1959-1964 (the "Generation Jones" group, not as quintessential as the older Boomer group is but they are still very Boomer, though have some X traits) Famous people: Simon Cowell, Magic Johnson, Weird Al Yankovic, Ultimate Warrior, Sting, Charlie Murphy, Dave Coulier, Mike Pence, RuPaul, Jane Lynch, Damon Wayans, Kathy Griffin, Tim Cook, Jean-Claude Van Damme, Sean Penn, John F. came of age during or after the Covid-19 pandemic, born during the Bush administration and after the establishment of Homeland security, which is the main reason for them being Homelanders, the oldest in K-12, being in middle and high school during the new CDC laws this new school year, and will not be able to vote until there is a brand new president in office come 2024 at the earliest) Famous people: Jojo Siwa, Cash Baker, Matty B, Johnny Orlando, Sophia Grace Brownlee, Aidan Gallagher, Lizzy Greene, Olivia Rodrigo, Charli D'Amelio, Annie LeBlanc, Mackenzie Ziegler, Millie Bobby Brown, Noah Schnapp, Lauren Orlando, Grace VanderWaal, Ellie Zeiler, Lebron James Jr., Sky Katz, Casey Simpson, Francesca Capaldi, Sofia Wylie, Addison Riecke, Mace Coronel, EvanTubeHD, Honey Boo Boo, Ella Anderson, Isaac Ryan Brown, Gianna Bryant, Rosie McClelland, Ruby Rube, Barron Trump, McKenna Grace, Ava Kolker, Adelia Rose, Mason Ramsey, Trinitee Stokes, Ariana Greenblatt, August Maturo, Elias Harger, Malachi Barton, Jason Maybaum, Hayley LeBlanc, Mia Talerico, JillianTubeHD, etc. Middle Homelanders: 2009-2014 (100% Homelander, the zeitgeist of the generation, too early to possess any new generation traits; born during the Obama administration, being the youngest group in K-12 during the coronavirus pandemic outbreak last school year, so they are the last to truly, vividly remember life before it but grow up mainly after it and will probably all start high school long after this is all over, some of the last to actually remember life before the 2016 election) Famous people: Gavin Thomas, Christiano Ronaldo Jr., Riley Curry, Blue Ivy Carter, North West, etc. Younger Homelanders: 2015-2021 (the caboose of Homelanders who are in-between Z and the next generation, having strong traits of the next generation while still primarily being apart of Gen Z; don't remember life before President Trump, and barely know life before the coronavirus, especially since none of them were yet in kindergarten preceding it, largely born during the tail end of the Obama and Trump administration) Famous people: TBD (Too young to analyze)

‘FUCK, DUDE! IT HURTS, FUCK!’ ‘Would you calm the fuck down?! I’m trying to wrap it u-’ ‘FUUUUUUUUCCCCKKKKKK!!!!’ Hopeless, Manuel thought as he fell back in exhaustion from trying to bandage Ishmael’s torn leg. Just hopeless. And yet, he couldn’t blame his friend for screaming out bloody murder. He could literally see the bone sticking out from underneath his sorry-ass excuse of a cast. Made up of leaves and some rope he had found in the bushes. It was honestly the most disgusting thing he’d ever seen in his life. Every major Hollywood studio should be sued - they don’t give real-life injuries true justice. The blood ran like the Nile river, all the way from his knee cap down to his sneakers. The skin, still freshly mangled from the nasty gash, was already starting to peel and expose puffy layers of tissue. He’d learn all about this in his Bio 101 course that he was forced to take as a core requirement for his film major. It was all he could try to think of to keep him from puking at the sight of Ishmael’s leg. There were three layers of skin, what the hell were they again? The epidermis...the dermis, and the- ‘Is it really bad?!’ Ishmael yelled through his teeth, breaking Manuel’s train of thought. ‘I’m not gonna look-, I don’t wanna look at it! Just be honest Manny, is it bad?’ Manuel quickly edged over to Ishmael, brushing against dirt and moss. His poor 6’5 friend, the basketball star, the one who boasted that not even a speeding car could take him down, was now terrified for his life. ‘...it could definitely be worse,’ he stammered. ‘The fuck is that supposed to mean, it could be worse? You think a doctor tells a patient who’s got brain cancer that it could’ve been worse?!’ Ishmael groaned out. They had been shooting a short film, Blair Witch Project style. Just a pair of freshmen with a couple of mics and a camera. That’s all they figured they’d need in order to make a killer project which would bring them viral fame. The University of Maine may not have been widely known for its film department, but its outdoor environment was to die for. The sun always seemed to glisten onto the campus grounds, radiating a sense of comfort and warmth for the students. You could wake up in the morning and look out your window to see a group of wild animals singing their hearts out. Like a fucking Disney movie, nature essentially surrounded them. But Manuel had never been this far into the forest so late at night. And what was once beautiful was now eerily creepy. The trees that once swayed in the cool breeze now shadowed malevolently over the two guys. The wind whistled as if it was mocking their helpless state. Invisible rustles and scuttles surrounded them, coming from God knows where. Just two kids who wanted to be the next stars of Blumhouse Productions. Just two kids who walked right into the forest and didn’t bother to check their cell service. Just two kids who were now completely lost and could barely see each other in the darkness. It all sorta rang a clear message into Manuel’s foggy mind as he laid on his back. ‘...we’re fucked…we’re so f--’ ‘You’re good with a camera right?’ Ishmael said, slapping his hand on Manuel’s back, almost making him go sprawling on the ground with his food. It was 3 months before they had ventured into their awful predicament. Manuel always liked to grab his food to-go so he could eat in his room while watching Netflix. It was his way of saying that he was constantly learning about camera techniques and filming, even when he wasn’t in class. But in reality, it was cuz he was awkward as fuck and had made no new friends during his first month of college. Now this huge guy, who looked like he could’ve been a student’s father, towered over him. Offering a million dollar smile that would make Nike’s marketing team orgasm on the spot. ‘Sorry?’ Manuel said, gingerly rubbing his back. ‘We’re both in Morrison’s directing class, just in different sections. I’ve seen you around campus. Always holding a camera in one hand and your dick in the other,’ the giant said. ‘Wh-, no! I don’t-, I mean, not with this ha-, wait, wha-,’ stammered Manuel. ‘Relax man, it’s all jokes with me. I’m Ishmael,’ he said, confidently extending his hand. ‘....hey...I’m Manuel,’ he said, dropping his sandwich on the ground as he reached for it. Manuel and Ishmael sat on the steps, overlooking the whole campus grounds. Ishmael was ranting away about how he had been inspired to become an actor and director after seeing some of the best films ever made. Movies such as Do The Right Thing, The Departed, and How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days. ‘Don’t laugh motherfucker,’ Ishmael warned as he saw Manuel almost choke on his Gatorade. ‘Nobody acts like the McConaughey. Nobody.’ To be honest, Manuel could have cared less if Ishmael had ranked The Room as his favorite film. He was just happy for the company. Happy to not feel invisible for once. Ishmael was determined to prove to his family and friends that he had what it took to make it in show biz. Nobody took his ambitions seriously, everyone always insisting he stick to basketball. But his interest in the sport was waning. Too many risks, too many injuries, and too many people doubting him. He wanted out of it. ‘I mean, this is the time to make shit! People post their stuff up on YouTube all the time and Hollywood reaches out to them, not the other way around!’ he said as he stood up, not being able to contain his excitement. ‘It’s all about the DIY mentality. And you wanna know what sells the most?’ Manuel, of course, knew the answer. ‘Horror,’ Manuel said, nodding his head in agreement. ‘Paranormal Activity, Insidious, anything that makes people jump or scream will get them to shit out the cash. ‘Exactly! And that’s what we can do. I’d be the star, you’d be the director!’ Ishmael exclaimed, crouching down to meet Manuel’s eye level. ‘You’d be like the George Lucas to my Will Smith persona! Based on the brains, the looks and the amount of times we’ve each been laid. Not saying George Lucas didn’t get any, just saying it’s highly probable that Will Smith got a hell of a lot more.’ ‘Yeah, uh...I’d wager to say you were right,’ said Manuel, focusing more intensely on opening his bag of Fritos. ‘And we can do it right in our backyard. Right over...there,’ Ishmael said, waving his arm as if to tell “The Price is Right” contestants what they’d won. ...the forest. Hundreds of trees acting as a gate for whatever lived inside. It was offered for students taking environmental studies, but other than that, the school officials always strongly recommended students to not venture too far into the area. The most probable cause was that the university didn’t want to get sued for a broken arm or leg. But c’mon, Manuel thought. What’re the odds of you breaking something in the woods? ‘What do you think George Lucas?’ ‘...I’m thinking that you won’t be playing basketball for much longer.’ ‘Hell, yeah!’ Ishmael whooped, grabbing Manuel’s skinny shoulder, almost crushing it. But he didn’t mind. He finally had a new friend. He could finally start creating a film, rather than just watching them all the time. He could finally ask for a wing man to help him with girls. And really, he thought as he tried to breathe through Ishmael’s grasp, who can be scared when you have Goliath in the flesh with you? Manuel gasped for air as his eyes shot wide open. Still pitch black, still dark. How long had he been out? An hour? All night? He looked over to see Ishmael’s body slowly heaving. He was still alive, thank god. But one look at his leg and Manuel had to clasp a hand over his mouth to stop from screaming. It was as if someone had been peeling away on the skin while the two of them had been knocked out. The veins wrapped around the bone like licorice as the different parts of the leg protruded out like a 3-D medical book. What seemed even stranger was that the wound appeared to be spreading up towards Ishmael’s waist, the skin already having this reptile-like feature. Already starting to shred. God, what was that third layer of the skin called?... In an ironic way, Ishmael had gotten his wish for wanting out of doing sports. He would definitely never be able to play basketball ever again. ‘Hey! Hey, Ish! Ish, dude?!’ Manuel whispered, gently slapping Ishmael’s cheek. ‘Touch my face again and I’ll kill you,’ Ishmael grunted, propping one eye open to stare at Manuel. OK, so he was still able to make snarky remarks. Good sign. But it was of no use to Manuel who still had no idea where they were. He felt around for his iPhone to check the time. 2:38 AM. Early morning. Manuel tested his cell service, but the phone showed no bars. 67% left of battery. He craned his neck to try to see among the trees and bushes that enveloped their surroundings. Hoping to see a flicker of light from the campus windows or to hear the sounds of drunk frat dudes. Nothing. As if there was nothing to be seen from miles away. Out of nowhere, a twig snapped. Manuel whirled around towards the noise. Squinting his eyes, trying to make focus of what was out there. His heart used to beat this quickly whenever he was left home alone at only 8 years old. His parents would tell him to put himself to bed and leave the light on so he wouldn’t be scared of the dark. His heart was definitely beating three times faster now. Beating so hard that it caused him to double over, blindly extending an arm out to keep his balance. ‘HEY! Hey, who’s there?!’ Manuel yelled out at blackness. A rustling was now heard in the opposite direction. Manuel slowly turned around, expecting to see a bear or the first mountain lion in the state of Maine since 1983. Instead, he saw a young blonde-haired girl with a dark red sweater staring right at them. Her hair glistened in the sliver of moonlight that creeped out of the evening sky. In a way, she almost seemed to be a mirage. At least, Manuel would’ve thought had he not heard these words escape her mouth. ‘Oh...my...god! Are you guys okay?!’ she stuttered out. That voice. That red sweater. He had seen her before...he was sure of it...he had seen her when-- Manuel zipped up his tripod bag as Ishmael hauled out the backpack full of camera equipment. After months of pre-production, writing, and having to convince Ishmael to rehearse (Fuck that dude, you think Joaquin Phoenix rehearses?), they were finally ready to shoot their film. The duo had decided to skip their final classes of the day and head into the woods while there was still light outside. The summer heat had now shifted into a cool windy autumn day. ‘Sorta like setting up the premise, you know?’ said Ishmael as he trudged along. ‘All the scary shit starts to happen during night time’. Manuel stood up to follow Ishmael, but realized that he was missing his phone charger. ‘Hey, hold up Ish! I’ve gotta grab my charger!’ ‘What the fuck for?!’ ...yeah, couldn’t fight that logic. Nevertheless, you never know if you’ll end up finding a power outlet by a tree stump. Manuel shrugged and turned to head back, only to run right into another person. ‘OOMPH!’ Manuel exclaimed. Stepping back as the other person reeled back and fell right on their butt. ‘Ow! Oh sh-, ow!’ muttered the unknown individual. A young girl, to be exact. She’s really pretty, was the first thought that ran in Manuel’s head as he rubbed his forehead. Can younotjust judge someone by their looks? She’s got a brain and feelings too you know?!, was his second thought as she pulled away the long blonde hair that covered her eyes. Sharp, piercing blue eyes. Can you help her up?, was the third thing that ran in Manuel’s head, as he stared into her eyes, almost transfixed. Can you help her up? Can you-- ‘--help me up, please?!’ muttered the girl to a dumbfounded Manuel. ‘Oh g-, yeah! Yeah, I’m really sorry! Here!’ Maneul said, shaking his head side to side like a dog coming out soaked from the pool. Manuel took the girl’s hand and using all the might in his skinny 150 lb body frame, hoisted her up to her feet. She brushed herself off as she smoothed her red sweater. No logo, no trademark. Just dark red. She was about Manuel’s height and wore dirty sneakers, with mud encrusted on the heels. Like she’s been in the woods herself, Manuel thought. The girl pulled her blonde hair back and tied it into a ponytail, all the while staring at Manuel’s wide gaping open mouth. ‘Does it close?’ she asked. ‘Huh?’ ‘Your mouth. Does it close?’ Manuel immediately shut his mouth, clamping so tightly that he winced in pain. The girl laughed at his clumsiness. ‘Sorry, I really didn’t mean to bump into you,’ Manuel said. ‘I was just trying to look for my charger. Cuz...I don’t even remember why to be honest.’ ‘Mhmm. Would it have anything to do with your camera?’ she said, nodding at Manuel’s tripod bag. ‘Oh, yeah! Yeah! My friend, Ishmael and I, we’re planning on making a short film, in the uh-, the woods. Just corny shit really...I’m uh-, I’m Manuel!’ he blurted out, thrusting his hand forward. The complete antithesis to Ishmael’s suave introduction. The girl didn’t seem to mind too much and if she did, she did an extremely good job of hiding it. ‘Hi. I’m Rachel,’ the girl with the new name said. Shaking Manuel’s hand gently, as if she was worried that any more pressure would hurt him. What was going on in Manuel’s life? First, making friends with probably one of the coolest freshmen on campus. Now he was talking to a stunningly pretty girl named Rachel. Rachel and Manuel. Had a nice ring to it. All the other Rachel’s he had previously met had always ignored him. At last, that streak was finally broken. ‘I haven’t seen you around, are you a freshman here?’ Manuel asked, reluctantly letting go of Rachel’s smooth hand. Longing to hold it for just a second longer. ‘Sure. But lots of people tell me that I can look like a wide range of things’, she said, with a sly smile. Okay now, she’sdefinitelyflirting with you dude! ‘Cool, what’s your major?’ ‘...does it really matter?’ You idiot! Stop asking the dumb ass questions, c’mon! Be direct! ‘Well uh-, look, I actually have to go right now. To do this dumb film with my friend. But maybe I can, you know, grab your number or something? So we can meet up?’ Manuel stammered out. ‘...did you say you were planning on shooting in the woods?’ she asked. Her tone had changed. Odd. It was as if suddenly she was worried about someone spying on them having this conversation right now. Her forehead wrinkled with concern as she approached closer to Manuel. He took a step back, but it took every ounce of will power in him to not go even deeper into those blue eyes. Was it just him or was there a hint of fear in her eyes? It seemed like the clear sky in those two pupils were now becoming clouded with turmoil. ‘It’s just something corny’, Manuel said. For some reason feeling a hint of discomfort. ‘Honestly, we probably won’t do anything with it. Trying not to tell too many people cuz you know...kinda frowned upon’. Rachel said nothing and took another step towards Manuel. ‘...you should really be careful in there.’ Her voice was definitely different. It wasn’t a warning. It wasn’t a threat. It was just as if she was stating a simple fact. But this only made Manuel feel shivers come down his spine. Am I aroused or scared right now? ‘Yeah, no! We definitely will. But we’ll be back in like a couple of hours. So like, maybe we can hang out after. If I see you around’. ‘...you really should be careful in there.’ A step closer. Manuel had had enough. Maybe he was being punk’d or some shit, but he really felt like the woods would be bliss compared to this extremely awkward situation. He wrapped his arm around his tripod bag and began walking away. ‘Thanks a bunch! We will be, for sure!’ he said over his shoulder, keeping one eye on Rachel and the other in front of him. Eyes behind your back at all times. She called something out. For some reason it sounded muffled, as if a pillowcase was over her head. Which was really weird, based on the fact that she couldn’t have been more than 6 feet away from him. ‘Sorry, what was that?’ he called out. ‘Does anyone else know you’re going into the woods?!’ ...what type of question was that? ‘No! Just you!...can we keep it that way please?’ he said, getting farther away from her. Rachel stared at Manuel and offered a simple nod. A sign of understanding. The universal way of saying yes. She wouldn’t tell anybody else. Manuel took comfort at seeing her nod. And yet, something also made him feel really troubled over seeing her cool stare. As if she had been waiting for him to ask that question from the very beginning of the conversation. Rachel now stood a good distance away from them. She stood so still it was as if her feet had become rooted into the ground. Had Manuel not been as exhausted and with a clearer mind, he would have had a million justifiable questions to yell out. What the hell are you doing here? Did you follow us?How could you even see us through the pitch black? But turns out, when your friend seems to be half paralyzed and you’ve been with your thoughts in the dark for too long, you forget all of these major points. You forget about any sort of previous hesitancy you may have had with a person you had barely met a few hours ago. All is forgiven when someone pops up out of nowhere to help...wait! They have help now! Holy shit, it’s all gonna be okay! ‘Rachel! Thank god, Rachel!’ Manuel breathed out all at once, almost feeling like he was going to pass out again. Had he been holding his breath this whole time? ‘My friend! His leg’s fucked up, we gotta get the hell back to campus!’ She stood on her tippie toes to get a better look at Ishmael and hurriedly nodded her head at Manuel. ‘I’ll go get help right away! There’s gotta be a night shift somewhere around, I’ll lead them here’ she said. ‘No wait! We can carry him out! I mean, we don’t have to wait! I’ll grab his upper body and you can grab his...’ Manuel trailed off as he looked back at Ishmael’s “leg”. It was nothing more than a pile of puss at this point. Bubbles of blood oozing and popping as if a witch was brewing an evil potion within his leg. We’re definitely at the third layer of the skin... Manuel looked back at Rachel, who instantly shook her head a million miles per second. ‘Uh-uh! No way will I be able to carry him! And even if I could, I wouldn’t be able to move anywhere without having to puke everywhere’, she said, clasping her hands tighter on her mouth. Edging away ever so slightly. ‘Okay! Wait, wait, okay! Fine! I guess...yeah, I-, I can wait. Just for a little bit longer, I can wait. You know your way back to campus right?’ ‘I think so! I’ll figure it out!’ Rachel said, edging even farther away. It took every part of Manuel to resist screaming and running over to her in terror. Far away from these fucked up woods. But he couldn’t just leave Ishmael by himself. Manuel could barely make out Rachel’s figure now. Her entire body swallowed up by the darkness, only leaving her two blue eyes and red sweater floating mid-air. ‘Hurry! Just come back as fast as you can!’ Manuel exclaimed, not even trying to disguise the fear in his voice anymore. Rachel said nothing. She just gave a small nod. And she was gone. 2 hours passed...5 hours passed...Manuel kept count under his breath. His phone battery was now at 34% and he was doing everything he could to not check so often. He’d taken off his coat to cover Ishmael from the waist down. The wound had approached his friend’s arms. Manuel could see Ishmael’s fingers starting to peel, as if some invisible force was hacking away with a knife. He swatted the air several times, trying to ward off any evil spirit that was around them. Whirling his arms around like a windmill, he looked like an idiot. But if someone had put on some background music, like Nick Jonas’s “Jealous”, he would have been amazed to see that he was actually pulling off some serious dance moves. ‘That’s how they do it on Ghost Hunters huh Ish?’ Manuel said, hacking away at the air. ‘They basically just tell the ghosts to fuck off?’ Ishmael opened his eyes halfway. He didn’t have the energy to do much more than that. His cracked lips slowly pulled away from each other, making a barely audible whisper. Manuel crouched down to get closer to Ishmael. ‘Huh? What’s that buddy, say it again. Ish?’ ‘...gonna die....’ ‘...say what now?’ ‘I’m gonna…die... aren’t I?...’ Ishmael croaked out. Manuel’s eyes were beginning to well up with tears, hearing those words pounding in his head. He bit down hard on his bottom lip to stop himself letting out a sob. Tasting that awful metal taste of his own blood. ‘What the hell are you talking about dude? We’re not even filming right now!’ Manuel said, trying to force the tears to go back down. ‘Save that Oscar performance for when we’re outta here, ‘kay?’ A thunderous noise ferociously rumbled. Manuel jumped up to his feet, looking around wildly. The trees all swayed backwards with the huge gust of wind that spread throughout the woods. The forest moaned and creaked as the ground shook with intensity. What the hell? It’s like an earthquake, rainstorm, and a tornado at the same time! Rain poured down onto the two teens as Manuel frantically attempted to cover himself and Ishmael. It was like a waterfall that had crashed down from nowhere. Lightning struck in the sky as if forming a cage around them. Ishmael moaned out to Manuel, weakly pulling at his sleeve. ‘So...thirsty…’ Ishmael said, looking at the rain dripping down on Manuel’s nose. Of course he was, what with all the blood he had lost. Manuel instantly dropped his arms and immediately pulled Ishamel into an upright sitting position. Cradling his head like a baby, tilting his mouth upward as if to catch the rain. ‘Yo! Hey! Okay, drink motherfucker! It’s all you now, drink!’ Manuel said, the weight of the rain crushing his body as if an invisible hand was shoving him into the ground. Ishmael warily opened his mouth waiting for the droplets to hit his tongue. To give him a brief moment of pleasure. To remind him to keep fighting, even if things were looking grim. ...it never came. The water dodged Ishmael’s gaping mouth and poured mockingly onto the ground next to him. Manuel couldn’t believe his eyes. ‘Keep it open dude! Just drink it, just keep it open!’ he yelled. Nothing. As if an invisible force field was preventing the water from entering Ishmael’s throat. Manuel screamed out in rage, scooping the water out from his shoe and thrusting it over. The water split into 4 streams and poured over Ishmael’s face. Hitting everything but his mouth. But the water didn’t stop running. It kept pouring and pouring, until Ishmael’s entire face was drenched in water. The water streams stayed rooted on the ground as if they had become ropes holding Ishmael’s face in place. He began to gag and shake violently, his body twisting and jerking like he was having a seizure. That’s when Manuel realized. Oh my god...it’s waterboarding him! The water streams snaked all over Ishmael, smothering his face. He was too weak to only breathe through his mouth and he was now desperately trying to take in air. Manuel lunged forward and pulled with all his might on Ishmael. Like a mouse pulling on a lion, he kicked the ground as he edged backwards. Slowly, but surely, Manuel felt the water’s grip loosen on Ishmael. Taking one more heave, Manuel snapped Ishmael away and back into his arms. The once-basketball star gasped viciously for air as Manuel took off his shirt and covered the rain from his friend’s head. Ishmael’s breathing had become more raspy and Manuel had to lean really close to be able to hear him. ‘Manny…’ ‘Yeah, Ish?’ ‘...what’re we...doing?...’ ‘We’re waiting for Rachel, bro. We’re waiting for her to come back with help.’ It was definitely the next day. Manuel had lost track of time, but it had to be the next morning, if not early afternoon. So where the fuck was the sun? Where was the light? The rain had stopped a long time ago, leaving them soaked and shivering. Manuel was practically naked, letting Ishmael have every bit of warmth possible. He warily turned on his phone to have just a bit of light. 18% battery left. He quickly turned it off and scanned around him, squinting his eyes to make out his surroundings. No major difference: tree, bush, tree, bush, red sweater, tree, bu-...red sweater?!?!? Manuel whipped around to make eye contact with Rachel. Standing in the very same spot she had approached them from before. ‘Where the fuck were you?!?’ Manuel hissed. No more Mr. Nice Guy. Who cared if he’d lost any chance with getting with her, he was not gonna die a virgin in the middle of the woods. ‘I’m really sorry. I got...lost. I got back as soon as I could!’ She stared over at Ishmael. ‘...is he still alive?’ Manuel pulled himself up and limped over to the girl. Each step he took towards her, the dizzier and more exhausted he became. Finally getting as close as he could, he fell onto his knees as he half-yelled, half-cried at Rachel. ‘Barely! He’s barely fuckin’ alive! Where’s help!? You were gone this whole time, why are you by yourself?!’ ‘I found someone who can help. But he told me he wouldn’t be able to get here just yet’, she said, her eyes asking for approval. ‘What th-, why not?! Who told you that?!’ Manuel sputtered out. ‘He wouldn’t tell me his name. But he swore that he’d be here as soon as he can!’ Manuel took a deep breath and slowly exhaled. Suddenly, he lunged forward! Snarling like an animal, trying to grab her throat. She screamed as her long fingernails slashed into Manuel’s right cheek. Tumbling to the ground as he saw her run away into the woods. Leaving them all alone once again. ‘YOU WANT US TO DIE?!? YOU WANT US TO JUST SIT HERE AND DIE?!’ he screamed at her. ‘He said he’ll be here as soon as he can! Just wait!’ she yelled back at him, disappearing back into the darkness. Manuel had had enough. He pulled himself up and gingerly touched at his cut cheek. Wincing at the pain, he attempted to tough it out as he trudged over to Ishmael. His friend had stopped talking a long time ago. Ishmael stayed as limp as a rock, his chest no longer heaving as much as before. He had left Manuel feeling even more alone, forcing himself to imagine his friend answering him in his mind. ‘Ish? She lied… sh-, she was shit for help. I’m gonna go man...try to get us help by myself’, he stuttered out. ‘Don’t leave me all alone here! Please!’ ‘I’m not! Ish, I swear to you, I won’t! I promise I’ll be back’, Manuel said, tears streaming down his cheeks. Manuel looked towards the direction that Rachel had run towards. Taking one more breath, he forced himself into the forest. It was impossible. There was no way to see in front of him. His feet had been caught with random vines and he had found himself crashing down several times. Manuel had never felt this much pain before. His whole body screamed for him to stop, but he couldn’t. Just gotta find an opening. Find any opening. Manuel limped around for what felt like an eternity. At this point, he had no idea if he was going in a straight line or if he had been going around in circles. How in the world had Rachel simply ran into the woods? Any minute now and Manuel was going to collapse from the strain that he was putting on himself. His eyes were just about to meet the ground before he saw something that made him jump right back into reality. Light. It couldn’t be. It was his mind playing tricks on him. But no, there it was. A crack of light that offered itself from the dark sky, shining down on a specific part of the forest. Maybe 100, 200 yards towards the south. Holy shit! They weren’t out of the woods just yet! (It took everything for Manuel’s not to hit himself for thinking of a pun when he was so close to death.) He ran. Branches cut into him, his head cracked onto the ground as he tumbled over bushes. But he didn’t care. So long as he still had one eye, he would be able to make out which direction the sun was coming from. The light started getting closer and closer. Manuel cried as he kept running. His mind went through a long list of promises that he would keep if he made it out alive. I swear to God I’ll never take the sun for granted ever again. I swear to God that I’ll never touch a camera again. I swear...I swear... He had lost the light. Manuel spun around, his head looking up at the pitch black sky. How was it possible?!?! He was so close to it, so near that he could even feel the sun’s warmth for just a brief moment. Manuel looked towards the west and he saw it again. The slice of sunlight, beckoning for him to try to reach it once again. Same distance, around 200 yards away. He sprinted towards it, shoving everything away from his path. Out of nowhere, a tree popped up in front of Manuel. Smashing himself right into the coarse bark - piercing his face with splinters and pieces. Manuel screamed as he rolled around putting out the imaginary fire. He gasped and shook his head before trying to open his eyes. He could only see with his left eye now. His right eye was swollen with a huge chunk of wood stuck right below his eyelid. Covering his left eye only brought him pure darkness. So long as he still had one eye… Manuel shakily got up and kept moving. His whole life now depended on his left eye. He was able to see something else within the light, beyond the towering trees. Was it...no. Was it the campus?! His vision was blurred, but he could make out the dorms and the students walking around and eating lunch on the campus grounds. Manuel could see the very steps where he and Ishmael had not so long ago pitched filming a horror film in these very woods. ‘He-, HEY!!! HEY! OVER HERE! I’M OV-’ Manuel tripped. He fell towards the ground, but this time he placed his hands in front of him. Catching himself mid-fall, not letting the woods get the best of him again. This time was gonna be different. This time he was getting out. This time he was going to make it. He pushed himself up and looked in front of him. Darkness. No, no, no, no, no! He had seen people! He had seen a way out! He looked around again, trying to make sense where the light had run off to once again. Trying to make contact with civilization, but nothing. There was just him and darkness once again. ‘...I was fuckin’ back...I WAS FUCKIN’ BACK! WHY DON’T YOU LET ME GO BACK!?!?’ Manuel screamed at the woods. No answer. Had he really been expecting one? Manuel found his way back to Ishmael. How? Don’t fuckin’ ask, it was as if Ishmael’s body had shifted to meet up with him sooner rather than later. Manuel slumped onto the ground, looking at Ishmael’s closed eyes. Mimicking his friend’s replies. ‘...hey Ish.’ ‘You look terrible dude.’ ‘Yeah bro...it doesn’t...it doesn’t look good for either of us right now.’ ‘...let’s just get outta here!’ ‘We can’t.’ ‘Why not?!?’ ‘Cuz we’re waiting for Rachel!’ Manuel yelled at Ishmael. Surprising himself with his answer, not understanding why he had even said it. ‘...she said somebody would come back to help. For us to wait. So I can wait...I can wait...just a little bit longer.’ Subcutaneous fat, Manuel thought as he blankly stared at his friend’s body decomposing itself. That’s what the third layer of skin’s called…subcutaneous fat. He had never asked Ishmael what exactly had cut his leg. An hour into filming Ishmael had to take a piss. Manuel was cleaning his camera lens when he heard his friend howling loudly with pain. As soon as Manuel found Ishmael on the ground next to a pool of blood, his mind immediately went into fight mode. He decided to ask questions later, assuming that his friend had come upon broken glass or a loose railing. But he knew better now. Once they had entered these woods, they were never guaranteed a ticket home. At least Ishmael was no longer suffering. At least he wasn’t in pain anymore. But now, Manuel longed for those screams. For any sign of life. His phone was now so dim that he could barely make out his screensaver. 9% of battery left...9% and counting... A rustling noise came from behind Manuel, but he didn’t even turn around to look. He already knew who it was. ‘Rachel?’ he heaved out. ‘Hey Manuel. Are you okay?’ she asked, her voice offering that false sense of hope. ‘Did you-, did you get help? Is anybody coming?’ ‘Not yet. He told me not just yet, but he’ll get here soon,’ she stated. ‘He told me to tell you that he’s really sorry, but that he promises he’ll be here tomorrow.’ Manuel just stared at his skeleton of a friend. Ishmael’s skull was showing, his hair having fallen out and his eyeballs rolling back into his sockets. How could it be that his friend still exacerbated more confidence dead than Manuel ever had in his 18 years of life? Ishmael’s skull seemed to be offering that million dollar smile at Manuel. So much so that Manuel couldn’t stop himself from breaking into a small grin. But I don’t wanna smile...I’m dying, I don’t wanna die...don’t wanna smile…don’t wanna... ‘Do you want me to tell him something? Let him know to hurry?’ Rachel politely asked. Her tone sounded like she could have been asking him if he had a good time at the movies. But she wasn’t asking for him to answer. She was merely confirming the overarching fact that he was going to die in these woods. But I don’t wanna smile… He couldn’t take his left eye away from Ishmael’s empty dark sockets. He couldn’t stop staring at those perfectly lined up square teeth flashing at Manuel. It was asking him to mimic him, pleading for him to laugh off his pain. Before everything went dark... ...don’t wanna die... ‘Manuel?’ Rachel asked, her voice sounding far away in the distance. Manuel smiled. ‘Tell him...I can wait. That there’s no need to hurry....I can wait.’

Excerpts: It was a general meeting with Amazon Studios head Jennifer Salke that led to the first-look deal. “Priyanka and I bonded over a shared passion for diverse global storytelling,” Salke tells Variety, adding, “Priyanka is drawn to exciting original content and characters that can resonate globally. She’s a powerhouse producer, and we are thrilled to collaborate with her for years to come.” Before striking the deal, Chopra Jonas was already collaborating with Amazon on two television projects: “Sangeet,” an unscripted series co-produced with her husband, Nick Jonas, based on the Indian pre-wedding tradition in which the families of the bride and groom compete against each other in song and dance, and “Citadel,” Anthony and Joe Russo’s spy series in which she’ll star with Richard Madden. Amazon hopes Chopra Jonas will help grow the studio’s footprint in India. In a report published in May, research firm Media Partners Asia forecast that Amazon will reach 17 million subscribers in the country in 2020, just behind market leader Disney Plus Hotstar, with 18 million. “My quest really is to be able to tell female stories, work with creators from around the world and create a cross-pollination of storytelling,” Chopra Jonas says. “Amazon is such a great partner to do that because their reach and outlook is so global. My Amazon television deal is a global deal, so I can do Hindi language, I can do English language, I can do whatever language I want.” On the film side, Chopra Jonas has at least one project with Amazon that she can talk about: She’ll topline and produce “Sheela,” a feature based on the Netflix docu-series “Wild Wild Country.” She’ll star as Ma Anand Sheela, assistant to guru Bhagwan Rajneesh (also known as Osho). Amazon aside, she’ll next be seen in Netflix’s “We Can Be Heroes” with director Robert Rodriguez, as well as the streamer’s “The White Tiger,” an adaptation of Aravind Adiga’s Man Booker Prize-winning best-seller of the same name. She’s also shooting Warner Bros.’ “The Matrix 4,” which recently resumed filming after production was halted by the pandemic. Says Chopra Jonas’ longtime manager Anjula Acharia, “Priyanka’s willingness to challenge the status quo is exactly what global audiences are crying out for, and for this reason alone, she is one of the most unique talents in the landscape right now.” Link to full article: https://variety.com/2020/tv/news/priyanka-chopra-jonas-tv-deal-amazon-1234693214/amp/?__twitter_impression=true
2020.06.11 19:10 SamGFilmsI did a Q&A with Riley Schmidt, the actor who played The Red Devil & The Green Meanie!
Hey everyone! A couple of weeks ago, I did a Q&A with Riley Schmidt, the actor who played The Red Devil & The Green Meanie on Scream Queens Season 1 and 2! It was a pleasure to get to know about his experience on set, wearing the suit, and how he got into the show! He was super genuine and nice to talk to, and it was a pleasure getting to know him. You can check out his Instagram here! He worked on T.V. shows such as Days of Our Lives, Drake and Josh, Scream Queens, Melissa and Joey, ER, and Sabrina the Teenage Witch, and movies such as Austin Powers in Goldmember and Minority Report. This is probably my favorite Q&A I have done ever. Please let me know what you think of it or any comments on the questions I asked and his answers. 1. Are you a big horror fan, and do you like being associated with the genre? Of course, yeah! I always was a big fan of like, some of the monster movies... even on like a Saturday afternoon, when I was a kid, I remember watching like, Gremlins (1984), and Critters (1986), and Jaws (1975), and Aliens (1986.) I remember as a kid, I got to watch Aliens really young. My friend had like a VHS tape. We used to watch it in his basement. So like, all those kind of monster kind of movies were always, you know, I used to always love those movies. So, when you get to play a monster on that stuff, it's pretty cool. I'm a horror genre fan, for sure. The Freddy movies were big when I was a kid, Jason and Freddy, obviously, Aliens, Predators, all those movies. And then the funny ones. I was a big fan of Gremlins and Critters, and... Leprechaun, those guys, haha! Anything that has aliens and monsters, you know, I was always a big fan of that kind of stuff. 2. Do you have a favorite horror movie? My favorite horror film, like the one that I think scared me the most, is Alien (1979), for sure. Or Aliens (1986). I think I saw Aliens first, yes. That was the movie that kind of scared me. 3. I know that you also worked on American Horror Story as The Rubber Man. Just wondering, out of the three costumes, which do you prefer? Rubber Man, Red Devil, or Green Meanie? Well, the Rubber Man was definitely the most scary, but the most uncomfortable. The Red Devil was probably the most fun, and The Green Meanie was probably the most scary and comfortable at the same time. So, I don't know. I don't know. That's a good question. I think if I had to pick, you know... your first love is always your first love, right? So, I would say Rubber Man, for sure. 4. Just wondering, which show do you personally prefer? American Horror Story or Scream Queens? I mean, for me, you know, it's tough. You know, American Horror Story is great. I think if I had to vote, I would vote for Scream Queens just because it was more, you know, I had way bigger involvement in Scream Queens than I did in American Horror Story, and I was involved but not as much as I was in Scream Queens. You know, I was in every episode of every series, so it was definitely more of a journey and an adventure for me than American Horror Story was, so I'm partial to being slightly partial to Scream Queens. 5. How was it like to wear the Red Devil costume? It was definitely a challenge. Cause I had never worn anything- I mean, the reason I got the job on Scream Queens was because I had a relationship with the producers from working on American Horror Story, as Rubber Man. So they called me and said, “Listen, we're working on this new show. It has some costume work in it. Would you be interested?” I said, “Yeah, absolutely.” And then it was a rather elaborate process to design that costume, and it kind of had to be done somewhat on kind of a short term basis. Or typically, it might take six months to develop something like that. They had to do it in six weeks. So it was very kind of a “Great, what are you doing? Get over there right now and see what’s happening.” The entire thing is custom-designed around me. So I had to be head-casted, the mask is all professional sculptured, all the capes and the boots, everything is all professionally handmade. Wearing it was very cool because it was very comfortable for me cause it was all custom built around me. But it was something totally kinda intense because we shot in New Orleans so quite a bit we were outside, and it would get quite hot... They had like a cooling tent set up right where I would do my scene, and then I’d have to run off into the cooling tent to kind of cool myself down because summertime in New Orleans can be quite hot. So it was just very interesting and very fun to have that. You kind of get to be this really unique character that you don’t get a chance to play that much. So it’s a lot of fun and be able to discover the nuances of just a slight head tilt or shift or something to convey information. You can really communicate from behind the mask if you just did a couple things. It was always interesting to see, you know, the mask has just a still face on it, but you could really communicate things in emotion just by doing a couple small maneuvers too. It was really, really cool, and up until that time, it was probably my favorite thing I’ve ever done in my career. 6. How was it like wearing the Green Meanie costume? So, we didn’t know we were going to have a second season. And finally, the word came down the night before, and then they said, “Well, we're gonna change it up.” And then there was a whole development of what that new character was going to be like, and they eventually developed a script around I think kind of was going to be a cross between like, The Swamp Thing and The Creature from The Black Lagoon. I think that was kind of the inspiration for it. So, I didn’t see it until the last minute because they had all of my prosthetic casts and had everything they needed, so they kinda developed it, you know, ahead of time before I actually saw it and it was kinda revealed to be “Demon,” and when I saw it, I was like “Wow, this one...” It was quite more intense than the Red Devil. It had a lot more pieces to it. It was a little more challenging to get into and a little harder to work with. But it was basically the same kind of movements and stuff. 7. Which costume do you prefer? The Red Devil or The Green Meanie? You know, that’s a good question. It’s tough. It’s really tough. You know, I thought... it’s hard. The Red Devil was so... I’d have to say The Red Devil cause he was the first, and I tend to feel like he had a little more comic. He was a little more comical than the Green Meanie. The Green Meanie was a little more serious and a little more deadly. They’re both deadly, but if I had to vote, I would say The Red Devil is the best. Yeah, that’s tough for me too because the Red Devil’s more campy horror, but the Green Meanie, it’s like, oh shit! He’s scary! Yeah, it was a step up, for sure. It was a step up in the scare factor. I actually thought the Green Meanie was scarier than Leatherface and Jason. Cause it has a very cool look, like the chest-plate, the scales, the goo dripping down. Really? Yeah, I think in the context of the show, that it was kind of like a campy kind of horror show. The Green Meanie physically was scary, but in the context of the show, he wasn’t as scary cause some of it was funny, you know, and not so serious. But if you were to drop that (The Green Meanie) in like a Jason script or a Leatherface script, he definitely would have been more intense and more scary cause... the costume itself was rather progressively scary. Yeah, I think you're correct. 8. In Season 1, did you have a favorite scene shooting? I remember there was a maze. We kind of rebuilt the maze from The Shining (1980), and they kind of rebuilt it on like a quad of a university, and that one, it was the Halloween episode (1x05). The actual Halloween episode of Season 1 was great. So that one, there was a scene there that was my favorite. I think I was running through the maze, and I killed, like the two twins. So that was my favorite scene, I think. I can’t remember. It was a night shoot. I did a lot of night shoots here and there. So one of the night shoots, that would probably be one of my favorite things to do. 9. What about Season 2? Did you have a favorite scene doing on set as well? There was a scene... it was one of the deaths. There was a scene like in a, it’s like in a hallway where I kind of chopped this guy's arm off (laughs), and his arm was supposed to chop off and kind of rustle on the floor (Randall’s death scene). I remember that was a good day and it was a lot of fun, that scene. The guy came like, out and he was like kind of talking and then you know we were just kind of both hanging out there, and then I chopped his arm off. That was just a fun day. I remember that, yeah. 10. Once you were in these costumes, did you get to interact with any of the cast members, or was it like, once you have the mask on, you can't speak and just waved instead? Well, the mask never went on until the last second. So, usually, if I was in my costume, I was in everything but the actual mask itself, and the masks were very easy to take on and off. They had basically... it comes in two pieces. There's a front piece, and then there's like a back piece that kind of clips on with magnets, very heavy magnets. So, at the last second, right before we shot, you know, I would get in position, and then someone would come with the mask, or the helmet or the mask, and then they would put it on right there, and then I definitely could speak through it, I just had to be kind of loud... the only time I communicated through the actual mask was if we were actually physically shooting, and then if we took a break, or we cut, or we were doing a new setup, and it was going to take any more than a few minutes, I would take it off. But sometimes, I would just wait. They would say, "Do you wanna take the mask off?" I would be like, "No, I'm fine." You know, I would just wait, and I would wait a couple minutes, and we'd start shooting again. But if it was any more than 5 minutes, then someone would come in and actually take the mask off. I couldn't remove it myself. It had to be taken on and off by a costume assistant. So, quite often, you know, if I worked an 8 hour day, then typically I might shoot maybe, you know, 45 minutes of that day, where I had the actual mask on. Sometimes longer, depends on what the scenes were for the day, but sometimes... I was only in the mask for, actually on my head for maybe an hour. 11. Once you wear these suits, is it hard for you to breathe, or do they put mesh fabric inside? Well, there was space in there. It was designed so that you could breathe, for sure. I never had any problem breathing. There were holes for my nose, and my mouth was free to breathe in there, for sure. So, I never had a breathing problem. The only problem I ever had with the suit... is kind of an overheating problem, and that's common in costume work is that you can get quite overheated because you got so much gear on, and there's nowhere for the heat to escape, so that's really the only downside or the only real negative or the only real... major challenge of having to do costume work, and that's what that work is called. There's lots of costume actors in Hollywood that do all kinds of stuff. But that particular line of work is called creature work or costume work..., and for that, the biggest challenge is sometimes actors can get overheated if they're outside in the heat or they're in front of lights for a long period of time, or their doing... a lot of movement or fight scenes. That's the only thing that can be the biggest challenge. They actually have a cool suit that you put on before you put on your suit. I never actually used it, cause I didn't think it was ever necessary, so we never actually designed it, but you actually put on this suit that they run cold water through in a tube. The tube goes in with cold water, and it kind of cools your body down, and it empties out, almost like a, basically a built-in air conditioning system. I didn't use it. We didn't need it, but that was something that a lot of creature actors use if they are doing something quite elaborate that has a real extreme costume, and I didn't have any makeup. My stuff was all appliance... so it was all just pieces that had to be put on me. I didn't have any makeup. I was never in the makeup chair, except to do my eye contacts, which I didn't have for The Green Meanie or The Red Devil, but I did have for (American Horror Story) Rubber Man... For The Red Devil and The Green Meanie, the pants were actually motorcycle pants. Pants that you wear if you ride a motorcycle that we just bought off the rack, and then they would modify them with scales for The Green Meanie, and I think for Rubber Man, I don't think they did anything to them. I think they just left them as they were. So the bottom half like the boots and the pants were just kind of stuff that we bought off the rack, and then from the waist up would be the appliances for the chest-pieces, then the capes and the gloves and the mask and that kind of stuff... the pants were designed to kind of breathe a little bit just because their motorcycle pants so they have vents and all kinds of stuff...the pants and boots were always so uncomfortable, but the top part was where most of the appliances and most of the weight are. 12. Were there any improvisational moments on the set that you did while shooting? Sure! There's always some. There's always an opportunity for that, yeah. You know, you need to stick to the script, but quite often, depending on the director of the scene or the moment, you know, there was an opportunity to kind of play around and do some improv stuff, and quite a bit of it actually ended up on screen sometimes, you know, or I would do something scary, and they would tell me, "Do that again," or I would make a movement and they would like it and stuff, so. You're definitely able to carve out your own kind of horrifying moments if you get a chance or something spooky or chilling or creepy or eerie that you think is going to work. You can't just make stuff up, but you're definitely allowed to craft the performance of the actual character, which is a lot of fun, and that's what I enjoy the most... You know, your bringing this thing to actual life. You're giving it, you know, some actual blood and it gets to actually be real, and... you know, you get to communicate. You know, the mask, strangely, even though it has a still and static image on it or expression if you will, it's interesting how the camera can pick up what's going on with you behind the mask that you're wearing if it's done right. So, you can actually put some emotional communication through a static mask, and you can make it scary or sympathetic or spooky or... alarming, bloodcurdling, you can do all that stuff, just with movement, which is really interesting, and that translates into when your not in a costume, as an actor you can use that outside. 13. Did you have a favorite actor or actress working with on Scream Queens? You know, one of the benefits of being in that character, I got to work with just about everybody. Cause at some point, everyone interacted with The Red Devil or The Green Meanie at some point. You know, I really liked working with Jamie Lee Curtis. She’s, you know, Hollywood royalty. I was a huge fan of hers before I even worked on the show, and then, you know, working with her professionally and even off set, she’s just the nicest person, and she just comes to work, ready to go. And when she steps on the set, everybody stands up a little more straighter. You know, everybody does their job just a little better she’s there. So she just elevated the whole space, and she definitely just looks out for everybody. She’s just exactly what you want, you know, as the lead actress on your show. So she was, it was just such a pleasure to see her. You know, she’s been in the business for so long, and you know, since she was a kid, and it was great to just see her have that energy still, all that time later. 14. In Season 1 and 2, were those real hospitals and campuses they filmed in? The hospital set was actually an actual set. It wasn't a real hospital. It was a set that we build on a sound stage. Season 1... The campus stuff was all shot on location. New Orleans has about ten different universities in the New Orleans area. I think we shot at Temple University quite a bit. We were there kind of in the summertime, so there was no school in session, in June, in July, in August, so there was no school, so we were able to kind of... rent out the space a little bit. So, that was all location stuff. But the hospital stuff in Season 2 of Scream Queens was an actual set, was a big hospital set that they built, which made it much easier. There was so much in the hospital that they had to have a set to be able to control the lights, and the walls, and the shoots, and the angles and stuff, for sure. 15. Do you have a favorite kill in Season 1? Yes, there’s a nail gun scene (laughs) in a closet where I (laughs) shot somebody in the head a couple of times with a nail gun. So that was good. That was my favorite. That was the best one out of everything. Yeah. (Roger’s death scene). 16. What about Season 2? Did you have a favorite kill during Season 2? Season 2... I don’t remember as many as the kills in Season 2. There was one where there was a girl like, she was in like a.... cooling tub, and her head was sticking out (laughs), and I think The Green Meanie chopped her head off. So, that was an interesting kill, for sure. (Catherine’s death scene). There was a kill in the second season where I threw... a sickle, that’s what it was. You’re right... and it cuts off ones of the nurses, I think, head's too. I think it was like the first or second episode. (Sheila’s death scene). So, there was a lot of work done on that scene, on how to do that correctly. So, obviously, we didn’t throw a sickle at her head, but there was a lot of green screens and some stuff to try to, you know, set that up as possible. So that was a fun kill too, cause I remember I was kind of working on that quite a bit and throwing that towards her, so yeah. 17. In Season 1, what was the hardest or most challenging scene to do on set? The most challenging scene was like in the outdoors in the heat. So, there was a scene, I was actually, strange story, I was getting married in New Orleans, and I had set my wedding up for that June, my wife and I, she's from there, and we were getting married in June of that year in New Orleans. In February of that year, I found out that I was going to work on this new show, Scream Queens, and I found out that it was shooting in New Orleans. So it was really interesting that while I was shooting in New Orleans, we were going to get married during the same time. So, the night before my wedding, I had to shoot, and I was up till like 2 in the morning, it was super hot, and I remember that being like a real challenging time, cause I was in my trailer in my costume writing my wedding vows, and I was going to say it the next day, so that was probably the tough thing, yeah. 18. What about Season 2? Were there any hard scenes doing, or was it simpler than the maneuvers and scenes over on Season 1? You know, I don't remember anything that crazy challenging. There's such a massive support system for me in those areas. I mean, there's the costume supervisors, and the costume techs, and the makeup artists. So, I have a big support staff that when I am on set, you know, supports me with the costume and all kinds of stuff... I never find them challenging. It's more just kind of like what was needed to get done. So, we just found a way to make it work. There were sometimes where maybe... picking something up or trying to get from here to there in a certain amount of time to make the scene work, didn't work. So, we would have to just adjust things. It was just a lot of you know, what are the limitations of the suit, trying to do, you know, whatever the director wanted for that scene. So, those were only the real challenges, you know? I never found anything impossible to do because of the amazing team of support I have. 19. So, I remember in Season 1 of Scream Queens, you played a small role as Zak the Pizza Guy. Just wondering, how was it like filming those scenes and filming your death scene? Hahaha! It was fun. They wanted to give me a cameo in the actual show.. and there was this very small part as Zak the Pizza Guy, who comes and delivers this pizza and then gets abducted and gets blown up, if you will. So most of the explosion is obviously all CGI. We did have some kind of, I think there was a cannon on set that we shot some kind of rough debris from that the special effects department you know, who actually like shoot the cannon and the actual physical stuff would kind of fly all over the place, but the majority of that is done in post and with the explosion, and stuff like that. But it's fun. We just had to kind of time it, and it was a fun scene for me because I had been in the costume the whole couple months, and I kind of had to step out of the costume, get a couple lines, etc., etc., so it was fun, yeah. 20. So, I always thought that you're playing a role in Scream Queens. Just wondering, would you consider yourself a stunt performer? Because The Red Devil and The Green Meanie, there are actual physical scenes that you do. So the answer to that is no. I’m not a stunt performer. The guys who stunts are a very rare breed, and they’re very, very specialized on what they do, and the advanced fighting and the advanced flipping or advanced stuff, I don’t do that. I turn that over to the guys who are professionals. They know how to do that. Sometimes the occasion called for me to actually do some stuff. Anything that’s advanced, I’m not the guy who's like, “Yeah, I can do my own stunts.” I’m not that guy. I step out of the way, and I totally let the stunt coordinator and the actual professional stuntmen do that, for sure. So there are instances in the entire series where, you know, The Red Devil or The Green Meanie might do something really intense where, you know, a crazy flip or go through a wall, or something really aggressive then definitely, they brought in an actual stuntman. 21. Do you have any prior experience in fighting, or did you have to learn fight choreography at all? You would have to learn the fight choreography with the stunt coordinator on the day. So they would typically come in early. If there was going to be a big fight that day, we would come in early, and we’d meet with the stunt coordinator, and they would have a previs (pre-visual) of the fight and then we would kind of walk through it, and practice it for about an hour. None of it was really crazy, and they would shoot it in pieces so it wouldn’t have to be all done simultaneously. But there was definitely a lot of work in any of the big fight scenes, for sure. The best fight is the Jamie Lee fight with the three Red Devils. So one of those is me, and the two other ones are stuntman. So in that particular scene, that was the biggest fight we had. We worked on that for like two days to get the scene actually done because it was that much fighting. So, in that particular scenario, we had extra costumes, and we had, you know, two professional stuntmen, and me. So, I had to step in and do some stunts. You know, the basics. You know, none of the crazy stuff. There’s one scene where the guy like flips through the doorway, his back slams against the wall, and he kind of goes upside down, that’s not me. That’s (laughs), for sure. I’m not a... I don’t do stunts. That’s not what I do for a living. I’m not a stuntman. There’s lots of men and women who do that, and they’re great, and they get underpaid for what they do, for sure... But, yes. Overall, no. I’m not a stuntman, and do I have to do some stunts occasionally? I did, yeah... So, yes. I had to learn some of that stuff, for sure. That was the exception where there was no option. They only had so many suits, and I think they did a scramble at the last minute to kind of replicate some stuff. Like, I had my suit, and I always had a backup suit. So, in case we broke something, I was able to do that. So, it was always two suits on set, sometimes two or three of everything. That was something they were like, "Can we do this" and they gave the costume department enough of a heads up for them to produce an additional suit or piece together an additional product. But the suit itself is a complete replication of the suit, which is molded specifically to me. It's not like they made an additional suit with different measurements. Everything was still the same. So the stunt guys had to... have a body type correct to be in order to fit into it correct. 22. So, you did more of the basic stuff? Like running, walking, or handling fake props? Yeah, anything that was simple or basic or a certain level or in that, they actually demanded that I'd do it. If I was able to do it, if it was something that I was able to do, the stunt coordinator would decide that. He would work with me and say, "You know, I think you can handle this, this and this. But this, this, and this, we're going to have to have someone else do this because this is just too elaborate, or too dangerous." You know? I'm not interested in getting injured or risking bodily harm. With stunt performers, they have the skills and the training to mitigate those injures and certain instances and stuff, like you said throwing, or crashing threw things and that kind of stuff. But if it was something I felt I can handle and the stunt coordinator was comfortable in me doing it, then we went ahead and went for it, cause it was always better for me to do it on screen if it was possible, just because the costume fit me the best, and I was able to keep the performance cohesive throughout the scene, or the episode. 23.How was it like working with the killers? Diego, Lea, Nick, Taylor, etc.? They're great! I mean, it's just a real family atmosphere. Everybody's there to do their job, and have fun, and a lot of stuff was funny, and we all got to hang out a little bit here and there. I'd say on the first season, we were all out of town, so it was a lot easier for us to kind of after we were done shooting to get to hang out off set. The second season we actually shot in Los Angeles, so there wasn't so much hanging out as there was in New Orleans, where the cast would all get together on the weekends and stuff and go to bars, restaurants, stuff like that. In the first season, I got to hang out with everybody a lot more where the second season, we actually shot out here in L.A. where everyone kind of lives, there wasn't as much opportunity to hang out. But, you know, everybody's just fun. It was a really fun cast, and everybody shows up and knocks it out of the park, and makes the day, and you get to go home, come back, and do it again. I'm bummed, cause I thought for sure, we would get a third season. They strangely talk about it coming back on some streaming service, but I don't know if that's ever going to happen. But, if it does, and they ask me to reprise one of those roles, I'd be more than happy to do that. The costumes are somewhere, they're in a box, somewhere in the costume vaults. 24. Out of all the killers in Scream Queens, who's your favorite? I don't know. That's a good question. I mean, Hester (Lea Michelle) was a good one, for sure. Nick Jonas (Boone), was fun to have as one too. But yeah, I think that was a pretty good reveal that some people didn't see coming, for sure, cause none of us saw it coming, you know? So, it was kind of interesting to even trick everybody on the show itself, so, for sure. I think that was a good one. 25. Did you have any reaction towards the killer reveals? Or did you know who the killers were prior to shooting? No, nobody knew anything. There were only a few people that knew what was going on. So, I didn't, and I wasn't one of those people that was previewed for that information. As it got closer and closer to the end of the show, there was a pool going around on who they thought it was, but I don't think anybody saw it coming at the end for the first or second season of who was what. We would get the scripts, and you would basically flip, if you were out of the cast, you would read to the script to see if you were getting killed and then you would see if you had any clues to who was the killer. But, nobody really knew until the last script came out of who was what. I remember in the first season with The Red Devil with Nick (Jonas) and the reveal, everybody found out that first day. It was like, "Oh my god! I can't believe it was you, blah blah blah." It was definitely cool. 26. So, at the end of Season 2, there was a Red Devil in Chanel Oberlin's car. Just wondering, who do you think that was? Did any of the writers or producers tell you who that was and just told you not to reveal anything? You know, there really isn't a definite answer. It's not like the writers said, "Well, this is who it is." You know, I think they left it wide open so that they could develop a third season, which they actually never did... You know, I think there was some people that said it was... potentially Grace (Skyler Samuels). Some people said that you know, it could be someone else. So, you know, I think most of the money was on Grace. But, we don't know what happened, cause we don't know if Chanel made it out. We don't know what happened. Now, you know, it depends how you write it. They can go 100 different ways, and I would imagine at some point, they were going to figure that out, or that was going to be kind of, you know, some of the basis for the third season, but it never happened. Now, they keep talking about bringing it back, but I don't know if that's ever going to happen. We ended that series in 2015, so it's been almost five years now. Would Billie (Lourd) and Abigail (Breslin) and Emma (Roberts) do it? I think they would if it was right. But, I know Billie's available, Emma might be available, and Abigail could be. So, they could bring back those three main girls, bring back the three Chanel's. I think they could potentially revive the series, but I don't think they have any intention to do that right now... It pops up in the news every once in a while. "It's coming back!..." I don't know if they'll ever actually do that, though. I don't know who. There is not like, definitive answer of who (Red Devil in Ending) that is. 27. If there was a Scream Queens Season 3, do you have any costume ideas for a third killer? Cause so far, we have a color oriented killer with a sort of ghoulish creature, like a Yellow Bird or the Black Raven? Hahahaha! Um, I would like to see, I mean, if it was going to be a Season 3 kind of situation, and there was going to be another character that was scary, I would want it to be a little bit more on the human side... I would want it to be... like a Freddy Krueger kind of, and a hat. Somewhat of a reasonable human image instead of a, you know, like a swamp thing or a mascot or something like that. You know, that would be interesting, or it can go really crazy with something, you know, really scary. Something with a lot of blood, I would like to see that. You know, something that has... flesh and blood... something with, you know, really scary teeth, and some kind of bone-chilling audio or something. Some kind of screech or some kind of yell or something that was indistinguishable or was in the dark and you heard this noise, you wouldn't know who is that thing. That would be my input into what it would look like. 28. Just wondering, if there was a Scream Queens Season 3, would you want to reprise your role as a new killer, or would you like to actually have a role with lines, facial expressions, and movement, like a character? Sure! I mean, yes. My mother would like that because she'd get to see my face. But, you know, anything I can do to be a part of for Season 3, I would be down for, for sure, if there was a reprise of either The Red Devil or The Green Meanie or even both. I don't think you could have a Season 3 of Scream Queens without The Red Devil. I think you have to bring him or her back, for sure, in some capacity. But, you know, I would love to either be cast in like more of a lead character role. That would be great. But, I'd totally be down to doing the creatures too, for sure, absolutely. Anything Ryan (Murphy) asks me to do, I would do it. Or I would do both! Either! You know? I'd be open into doing both of them if that was a possibility. I would play The Red Devil or The Green Meanie or a new creature and potentially have a small, you know, scene part too.

2020.04.18 17:56 LyannaStarkNorthwolf[F4A] Seeking someone who can play as maw dominant characters, use third person past tense and detail as well as play fandom canons! LONG TERM ONLY
Hello there, so I know previously my posts have been nsfw but today I fancy one of my many fandoms. As I am female and submissive I expect partners to play Male and be dominant. While this is listed as clean, the canons I’m seeking are dominant Male characters so I need to know who ever takes on the role can follow through with that. You must use detail (I am literate/advanced so this means that I use at least twenty lines and I do not use * or - or ( to separate so each from text, that’s what speech marks are for), please try to use good punctuation and grammar- however I am dyslexic so I am not that fussy with punctuation, I just like to see some effort from my partners. I only use third person and past tense so I also expect the same from you! I seek long term only! I will be doing oc (me) and canon (you) pairings. Love triangles are also a favourite of mine but I am fully aware they are not for everyone! However if there are any females reading that maybe interested I can do doubles! If you come wishing you double up, you must put equal effort into both oc’s! have many fandoms I am seeking and they are listed as follows: TV Fandoms: Outlander, Game of Thrones, Merlin ❤️, and Reign. The characters I ship with from each are: James Fraser, Roger Wakefield, Frank Randall, Robb Stark or Jon Snow, maybe even Jaime Lannister, Arthur, Merlin, Lancelot or Gwaine and if it’s Reign Sebastian or Francis. Book fandoms include: Narnia- Peter or Caspian, but with the movie ages please! I don’t work with minors, Outlander, the ships are the same as the show listings. Harry Potter - I do not ship with Harry himself, any next gen or Snape, other than that any males are open! Movie fandoms : Pirates of the Caribbean, for this fandom I ship with Jack or Will, Camp Rock one or two I ship with Shane Or Nate. But I adore Nick Jonas. The Lizzie McGuire movie, please be willing to use Nick Jonas as the face claim but write as Gordo the best friend. I can also do the Harry Potter verse, Hunger Games and Divergent as well as Twilight. Stardust is another film I love so if anyone’s seen that movie shoot me a dm! All Disney characters and fandoms will be eighteen plus! Please send me a ⭐️ to prove you read this!
2020.04.08 15:01 ultimaniacsThe story on how the short film “Family” was made
The film chronicles a family's effort to find a misplaced pair of sunglasses belonging to Bachchan's character. "The back story is incredible. Amit Ji's portions were shot by Abhishek. Nick Jonas shot Priyanka's segment, Rajinikanth ji's was shot by his daughter Soundarya. Ranbir and Alia went behind the camera for each other. Everyone was so gracious. They didn't come into the frame, but they were simply helping. They were so selfless," Prasoon told PTI. The director even toyed with the idea of releasing a behind-the-scenes but it could not be possible in the short time he had. Prasoon said that he first came up with the idea when Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who has praised the film on Twitter, announced the nation-wide lockdown of 21 days. He discussed with his brother, renowned adman Piyush Pandey, about making a short film that is shot, edited and acted while staying at home. They called up Bachchan who was "the most excited". "But he said why just stop at giving message to people. We should help daily wage workers also and do something," Prasoon said. The 77-year-old actor then undertook the initiative to provide ration for daily wage workers, which was supported by Sony Pictures Networks India and Kalyan Jewellers. "People were not just becoming a part as actors, they were becoming part of a project. Then I talked to Ranbir and Alia, who gave me another idea: why stop at only Mumbai film industry? Why not make it pan-India. So everyone started contributing to the idea, it became even bigger," he said. The filmmaker added more characters to his story and got Bachchan to speak to all the other stars, who instantly agreed to come on board. As there was no physical meeting, Prasoon shot a template film at his house where he played all the characters. His son shot the template film. "We sent that to all the actors so that they could see each shot precisely, how to frame, which direction to look, so that it connects to the next shot. I sent it on April 2 and told them it'd be great if they can shoot it by the next day and they didn't bat an eye lid. They started shooting on April 3." Still there were glitches and retakes but all the actors cooperated without any hassle. "Their families were shooting them as they were inside the house. I had made the template so simple, that even a 10-year-old kid could shoot it. So their own families started shooting and that's when I thought this film can be called 'Family'. It was harder to coordinate with Priyanka, who is currently in Los Angeles, because of different time zones, but the "Quantico" star sent in her clips just in time: day before the final submission of the film," he said. "We started working on the music even before the film was ready. Because the film kept changing with more shots coming in, the music kept changing too. My editor, music director were working from their respective houses and all through the night we were on call, doing back and forth on the film, making the final cut," he added. https://www.newindianexpress.com/entertainment/hindi/2020/ap08/came-up-with-the-idea-when-covid-19-lockdown-was-announced-prasoon-pandey-on-short-film-family-2127437.html

So please take it with a grain of salt. It is an FYI, for many millionaires like her it still is a drop in the bucket, but I am thankful that they are shedding light to independent organisations to donate to as well, especially here in India. I do hope they do not consider this end of business and continue to donate as vulnerable in our communities need it urgently. And we also need to continue to do our part in the little ways we can. Stay safe.

2020.03.29 19:01 cn_cnPriyanka Chopra is the May cover for Tatler Magazine 2020 Interview
Before the coronavirus pandemic began, Tatler photographed actress Priyanka Chopra for the May cover. In the accompanying interview, she spoke to Jane Mulkerrins about being married to pop royalty, Nick Jonas, their plans to start a family, and why she doesn’t think beauty pageants and feminism are mutually exclusive - it's a welcome dose of escapism in present circumstances
She’s the Miss World turned actress who married a pop star and befriended royalty, and now, Priyanka Chopra is the May cover. Photographed by Jack Waterlot and styled by Sophie Pera several months before the current coronavirus outbreak took hold, she is regal in a sumptuous golden brocade shrug and dress from Dolce & Gabbana's Alta Moda collection on the cover, with the shoot and accompanying interview by Jane Mulkerrins offering unabashed escapism in this present moment. Steely and determined, the 37-year-old cites her parents as her main inspiration and influence in her life, saying: ‘All my mother’s sisters were academics and my dad was a free-thinking creative, a musician and an artist, as well as a surgeon. My grandmother – my dad’s mum – always used to say, about me, “Who’s going to marry her? She can’t cook.” And my dad would say, “I’ll send a cook with her. She never needs to go into the kitchen.” My mum didn’t know how to cook when she got married. My dad taught her how. And he taught her everything he liked to eat. Clever man.’ An outspoken feminist, she’s a staunch defender of beauty pageants, which have largely fallen out of favour in the Western world. ‘It’s something that I’m extremely proud of,’ she says of her Miss World win. ‘It gave me a trampoline to my acting career. It gave me a sense of self, a sense of confidence to be able to stand in front of heads of state, to be able to speak in front of media from around the world, and actually know what I’m talking about.’ Married to Nick Jonas of the Jonas Brothers fame, she talks about balancing her husband’s career as a touring musician with her burgeoning one in Hollywood, where she was until recently filming for an upcoming sequel to The Matrix. ‘We don’t go more than two/three weeks without seeing each other,’ she explains. ‘That’s a rule. It’s too hard otherwise, and you’ve got to work on the relationship, to prioritise it.’ With her sister-in-law Sophie Turner recently announcing her pregnancy, does she have any plans to start a family? At the time of our interview, it was on the agenda for the future, but not the present moment. ‘Right now, this year’s really packed for me in terms of the work that I’m doing and the work that I’ve taken on,’ she said then. ‘But having a family is very important to me and it always has been. It is something that I definitely want to do and I’m hoping that whenever God wills it, at the right, opportune time, it’ll happen.’
2020.03.14 05:11 ktfish74Watched this movie several times, glad when it came out, grew up reading & then watching Robin Williams. They gave Alan Parrish homage in the film, but would it have been an interesting twist to have one of Alan’s bullies in the beginning of the 95 version be the dad of Colin Hanks/Nick Jonas?

https://deadline.com/2020/02/priyanka-chopra-starring-convicted-guru-bioterrorist-ma-anand-sheela-barry-levinson-amazon-studios-1202864091/amp/?__twitter_impression=true Another link from THR: https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/amp/news/priyanka-chopra-jonas-play-ma-anand-sheela-amazon-movie-1280224?__twitter_impression=true EXCLUSIVE: Amazon Studios has set up Sheela, an intriguing drama that Barry Levinson will direct with Priyanka Choprastarring as Ma Anand Sheela, a guru who perpetrated what is called the largest bio-terrorist attack executed on U.S. soil. Levinson Birdie Thompson/SIPA/Shutterstock She was the personal secretary of Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh from 1981 through 1985, and supervised his move to relocate his thousands of followers — known as the Rajneesh — to the small town of Wasco County, Oregon. Sheela was appointed president but unbeknownst to both of them, this move would be met by resistance from the local community that led to a full blown war within the county. As a way to claim governing control of the land, Sheela devised a plan to fix the election by recruiting hundreds of homeless people to register to vote in their favor. Ultimately, she was convicted of conspiring to poison local restaurants with salmonella to prevent the opposing locals from voting. This became known as the 1984 Rajneesh bioterror attack. Shortly after, Sheela fled to Europe as a fugitive accused of arson, wiretapping, attempted murder, and mass poisonings. She would plead guilty to attempted murder and assault for her role and was sentenced to 20 years in federal prison and paroled after 39 months. Amazon Studios would not comment, but I hear that the project has been set there and that Permut Presentations’ David Permutwill produce with Levinson and his Baltimore Pictures along with Jason Sosnoff, and Chopra through her Purple Pebble America banner. Script will be written by Nick Yarborough, who is writing the Training Day prequel for Warner Bros. Chopra is a lead in The Matrix reboot at Warner Bros, and stars in the Netflix films We Can Be Heroes for director Robert Rodriguez and the Ramin Bahrani-directed The White Tiger. Levinson has just completed the Holocaust boxing drama Harry Haft, with Ben Foster playing the title role. The Oscar-winning Rain Man director has thrived in fact-based fare of late, including the Paterno, The Wizard of Lies and You Don’t Know Jack, which received a combined 21 Emmy noms for HBO.
Just watched the second film for the first time. Enjoyed it although kinda feel it was too modern. What do you all think? Love the cast. Jack Black made me laugh loads! Nick Jonas was worth watching too! 😁😁 Wonder if there is scope for a third one? Also sad that Robin Williams couldn't be in it nor his wife and father. Thoughts?
2020.01.26 22:11 twistedlogicxThe Basketball world reacts to the passing of Kobe Bryant
Earlier today it was reported that Lakers legend and future inner-circle hall of famer, Kobe Bryant passed away in a helicopter accident. He was accompanied by one of his daughters, Gianna Maria-Onore Bryant, and seven others, all who also perished in the crashed. They were on their way to a basketball practice at Kobe's own Mamba Sports Academy. Kobe Bryant was not only a Lakers icon but an icon across the NBA who transcended the sport and became a household name for millions of people across the globe. He is survived by his wife, Vanessa, and his three living daughters, Natalia (17), Bianka (3), and Capri (7 months). The impact of today's tragic crash reverberated throughout the NBA and far beyond. Below I have compiled a list of just some of the reactions from in and outside of the basketball world on this monumental loss.
There are no words to express the pain I'm going through with this tragedy of losing my niece Gigi & my brother Kobe Bryant. I love you and you will be missed. My condolences go out to the Bryant family and the families of the other passengers on board. IM SICK RIGHT NOW.
This S*** can’t be real... this the first moment I was able to meet Gianna Maria, she’s been to only 3 games this year... 2 of them were mine... She told me I was her favorite player to watch. I can’t believe this. Rest Easy Gigi.
I am in shock over the tragic news of Kobe's and Gianna's passing. Words can't describe the pain I'm feeling. I loved Kobe - he was like a little brother to me. We used to talk often and I will miss those conversations very much. He was a fierce competitor, one of the greats of the game and a creative force. Kobe was also an amazing dad who loved his family deeply - and took great pride in his daughter's love for the game of basketball. Yvette joins me in sending my deepest condolences to Vanessa, the Lakers organization and basketball fans around the world.
Jeannine & I are absolutely shocked to hear of the loss of one of my favorite people & one of the best basketball minds in the history of the game! Our hearts & prayers to Vanessa & his girls. Kobe Bryant you were my biggest fan, but I was yours.
The NBA Family is devastated by the tragic passing of Kobe Bryant and his daughter, Gianna. For 20 seasons, Kobe showed us what is possible when remarkable talent blends with an absolute devotion to winning. He was one of the most extraordinary players in the history of our game with accomplishments that are legendary: five NBA championships, an NBA MVP award, 18 NBA All-Star selections, and two Olympic gold medals. But he will be remembered most for inspiring people around the world to pick up a basketball and compete to the very best of their ability. He was generous with the wisdom he acquired and saw it as his mission to share it with future generations of players, taking special delight in passing down his love of the game to Gianna. We send our heartfelt condolences to his wife, Vanessa, and their family, the Lakers organization and the entire sports world.
We are stunned and devastated by the news of the sudden passing of Kobe Bryant. Words cannot express his impact on our Players, the NBA and the game of basketball. This is a monumental loss for the entire basketball community and our hearts are quite simply broken. We send love and prayers out to his wife Vanessa and the entire family.
Kobe Bryant, despite being one of the truly great basketball players of all time, was just getting started in life. He loved his family so much, and had such strong passion for the future. The loss of his beautiful daughter, Gianna, makes this moment even more devastating... Melania and I send our warmest condolences to Vanessa and the wonderful Bryant family. May God be with you all!
Kobe was a legend on the court and just getting started in what would have been just as meaningful a second act. To lose Gianna is even more heartbreaking to us as parents. Michelle and I send love and prayers to Vanessa and the entire Bryant family on an unthinkable day.
Dia triste pra nós dos esporte, pra nós fãs e principalmente pra família e amigos de kobe. Com suas mãos se fez lenda, obrigado por exaltar o esporte Kobe... que Deus conforte o coração de sua família e amigos
He was great, charismatic & among the hardest-working athletes ever, but what impressed me most was how deeply-involved Kobe was with his 4 daughters. Pray for them, Vanessa, his parents & his fellow passengers' families on this sad and shocking day. We will never forget you Kobe
Can't believe it, don't want to believe it! This is unreal! I cried when I saw the news! Thank you Kobe Bryant for everything you did for basketball and for who you were as a person. I'm gonna miss you! One of the saddest days...this one hurts a lot.
Man I don’t even know where to start😭😭 I started playing ball because of KOBE after watching the 2010 finals. I had never watched ball before that and that finals was the turning point of my life. I WANTED TO BE LIKE KOBE. I’m so FREAKING SAD right now!!!! RIP LEGEND
Unreal! Meeting this guy was the best experience ever! For you to leave like this is upsetting! Thank you for the encouraging words you given me! Thanks for being a role model and my idol! Thank you for being who you are!God has a reason for everything! RIP Goat!
Idk bout any other hoopers but this Kobe thing got my body feeling weird. Meant so much to the game and the future of men’s and women’s basketball. I always envisioned Kobe being the bill Russell on the sidelines. Old and being around the game forever sharing knowledge.
Devastated to hear the news about Kobe Bryant. He was the best to ever do it. Praying for the Bryant family during this difficult time. Your legacy will live forever, you inspired and transformed a lot of us 😢😥😔
😢 I still can’t believe this is actually true ... My sincere condolences to Bryant family , may the sprit of God bring you the comfort in such tough moment... RIP Kobe Bryant #nbafamily #MambaForever #loveyouKobe
You were one of the biggest influences on me and so many others. From your hard work, to your swag, your mindset made you BIGGER than basketball. Unbelievable loss. My condolences to you and your beautiful family.
Profundamente afectado por la muerte de Kobe Bryant y su hija. Pasará a la historia como uno de los más grandes de nuestro deporte. En las que fueron sus palabras: “los héroes van y vienen, las leyendas son para siempre”.
This news today was gut wrenching. Kobe Bryant you were our Jordan of our generation. Thank you for the memories and for all that you instilled in today’s game. R.I.P. To you and everyone else involved today. Prayers to your wife and your family and kids.. #MambaForever
I was thrown in the fire since day one of my rookie year. Toughest task of my career. Learned a lot. Thanks for what you instilled in me the drive, toughness the will to compete every possession. These times will never be forgotten Thanks #MambaForever #RIPMAMBA
I remember you speaking to all the campers at ABCD camp and that’s when my dream of actually making it to the NBA started to begin. Seeing a person I looked up to and watch kill it at the highest level was eye opening. To practicing moves just like you and wearing clothes like you. I wanted to be like you when I was in high school and some coaches comparing me to you when I knew I wasn’t no where near your greatness. To seeing you write books and winning an Oscar for your short film. Inspiring me to write books. You inspired me to strive for greatness. Your competitiveness was at an all time high in everything you did. My favorite player ever nobody can compare. Prayers to his family and children
RIP to the legend...you inspired millions on and off the court. Thank you for your life and influence. “The most important thing is to try and inspire people so that they can be great in whatever they want to do”-
Loss for words right now! The greatest competitor i have ever gone up against and played with. Learned so much from watching you play as a kid. Could never get past you in the playoffs in the west. But had the honor of playing beside you in two Olympics. Can’t believe you are gone. 🙏🏽 for Vanessa Bryant and their whole family. #mambamentality🐍
Legend gone too soon...One of the most inspirational players of my lifetime and a person who’s dedication and drive can be translated to any part of life. Mamba mentality will live on forever and we’ll never forget…
Kobe Bean Bryant. Heartbroken doesn’t do this feeling justice. If you know me, you know how much I obsessed about Kobe every single day! Greatest of all time! God be with his family. Immortal Mamba forever
Most people will remember you for your tenacity, all your unreal feats, and being the Black Mamba. But I’ll always remember you for taking time out your day when you seen me to ask how I was doing and how my mother was doing, as well. Things like this never makes sense and I don’t want to accept it but I’ll always remember you to be a genuine soul that lived with no ceilings. Thank you, Kobe
Devastated... special prayers to his family. Pain is something I’m learning to embrace. This is hard tho. Inspiration is the highest human act and u inspired a world of humans much love and respect. #ripkobe
I grew up watching and admiring your game. Your impact goes beyond the basketball court from the way you carried yourself, and how you were with your family. It was an honor and privilege to get the opportunity to compete with you and even hear the way you spoke about me at such a young age in my career. My condolences goes out to the whole Bryant Family, friends, and loved ones of both Kobe and Gigi ❤️.
These picture are just the tip of the iceberg of our relationship. He taught me so many things in life that were necessary on and off the court. On the court he taught me how to carve out defenses and how to take my time. How to make winning my ultimate goal. Off the court he taught me to sign my own checks lol. Of course anyone who knows my story knows I’ve suffered a lot of loss but the only loss I can compare this to is when I lost my son. Even though our relationship wasn’t fatheson, it was more like him being a teacher and me being his brother. I’m glad I got to be the ying to your yang as far as the locker room was concerned. It was my pleasure. I couldn’t even catch my breath today when I heard this news. I just knew if he was in a helicopter crash he would have been the one to survive. Somehow he would have jumped out and landed on his feet. I’m sitting here thinking about when we would be in practice scrimmaging and you would start the jump ball off with elbowing Sasha in the chest. Like dude it’s 10:30 in the morning lol. You think watching him play was crazy, you gotta think in practice if you scored like 8-9 buckets throughout the practice you had a great practice. I’ve seen him knock off 13-14 in a row in practice!!!! I’m still waiting for the media to come out and say wrong report. No way God took my brother this early. I know I been through my own stuff in life with using drugs and not being good to myself. When I went through that Coma situation if God would have came to me and said we would take me and spare Kobe I would have rather that happened. In honor of my brother I’m up at 4am tomorrow to get to the gym! Gigi gone give you buckets!!!! I love you brother 💔🙏🏿😥
